Introduction of Three Friends of Zhao in Song Dynasty

On the clean fan, the author drew pine branches, bamboo branches and plum branches, and drew a plum branch full of buds with ink, and then wrapped pine needles like stars and bamboo leaves like ink shadows in a staggered way, placed horizontally in the center of the picture, and set off the white of plum blossoms with the gray of pine needles and the black of ink bamboo. Pine leaves are like steel needles and bamboo leaves are like swords, which shows the pride and ice heart of plum blossoms. The whole picture is beautiful, elegant and interesting. Through the arrangement of the picture, this picture of three friends in the cold year clearly expresses the author's integrity and loyalty. On the upper right of the painting fan, there is a solid white seal. On the pen, the plum blossom in the painting is dyed with a fine pen, and the petals and pine needles hooked with thick ink are pulled out with a pen tip, and the ink bamboo is transported from the middle, which is quite imposing. Pine, bamboo and plum have different painting methods and full of charm, which is a sketch of the soul in the Southern Song Dynasty. Zhao's works pay attention to the combination of painting and calligraphy, which can represent the artistic characteristics of literati painting in the late Song Dynasty.
