Song Feng Ge Tie Shi was written by Huang Tingjian in his later years. His brushwork is vigorous and powerful, swaying in the wind. Huang Tingjian studied Yan, and adopted Yan Zhenqing's strokes. However, he lengthened the strokes that shortened Yan's style (usually the main horizontal, vertical and left strokes in a word), which put his strength in danger, and then stabilized the structure and overall composition of the word, forming his unique style. Easy to grasp with a pen, concise strokes, no frivolous pen. Kang Youwei commented on Uncle Huang: "Although I hide and paint, I am full of leisure, like a flattering door. If its brushwork is fine and smooth, it will be printed by itself. "
Huang Tingjian is not only a calligrapher, but also an all-round writer and poet. He is familiar with painting appreciation and Zen, which makes his calligraphy more meaningful. Song Fengge Poetry is such a masterpiece of Huang Tingjian's running script, with rich connotations. The brushwork of this poem, with 29 lines of * * * 150 words, more strongly exaggerates the swaying changes of Ou Yangxun's "Zhong Gong Tight Knot" and "Yi He Ming", forming a stretching radial shape. The long lines galloping vertically and horizontally are in sharp contrast to the dense short points, with a strong sense of rhythm.
