A brief introduction to the author of Japanese handwritten workbook

Zhongshan Longdong

Chairman of Kyoto Calligraphy Union, judge of Sankei International Book Fair, writer entrusted by Japanese lettering association, permanent director of literati union, director of China Institute of Literature and Culture, and president of Shushu Moquan Society.

Mr. Zhongshan was born in Kyoto, an ancient capital integrating Japanese history and traditional culture. His books are full of subtle elegance and inner fortitude of the ancient capital. He has made great achievements in the study of Japanese calligraphy and China calligraphy in various periods. Under the influence of Mr. Morioka Junshan, I learned to copy the ancient books and copybooks of the Northern Wei and Tang Dynasties in China, especially the works of famous China writers such as Yan Zhenqing, Mi Fei, Wang Duo and Wen Zhiming. He not only insisted on imitating fonts and writing methods, but also made an in-depth analysis of "lines" as the basis of calligraphy art. He pursues the perfection of tough "thread", which symbolizes vitality.
