History of Hui inkstone

Hui inkstone, Liao inkstone and Duan inkstone are also called the three famous inkstones in China. They were named Royal Inkstone in history, carved from three beautiful and rich stones in the mountains. They are firm, moist and rich in ink.

The high-quality inkstone relies on the stone and is cleverly conceived according to the stone (it is said that a piece of white jade is well carved, but unfortunately several black spots have not been sold. Later, a craftsman carved it into children's play ink, and the black spots turned into ink spots, which immediately became the top grade, and it was up to the sculptor.

Huizhou inkstone is the essence of Huizhou culture.

Under the guidance of acquaintances, I was lucky enough to witness the collection in the back room of a master's research workshop. The treasures I saw were really jaw-dropping and sighed.

However, all the inkstones written by masters have absorbed the essence of other industries' crafts and integrated painting, sculpture, calligraphy and other arts. The made inkstone is silent, impervious and easy to ink without loss.

And the texture is unique, the texture is warm, delicate as jade, wet, tender and slippery, or delicate and delicate, or vigorous and simple.

What's more attractive is that one inkstone is a colorful landscape painting, full of artistic conception, colorful, or asking for the moon with wine as a song, or pavilions and bridges flowing water, or eagle striking the sky, with shallow fish eyes, too numerous to mention, vivid and lifelike.

The inkstone was originally a container for ink painting and calligraphy. Because of the ingenuity of the creator, he put wisdom and art into it, which made the inkstone not only have the function of bearing ink painting and calligraphy, but also have a unique artistic expression, which is the top grade of art cherished by painting and calligraphy artists.

In ancient Four Treasures of the Study, Huizhou had two treasures, "Huizhou Ink" and "Huizhou Ink Stone", which shows that Huizhou has profound cultural heritage.

Although I am not a scholar, I occasionally make up some words to talk about the obstacles in my heart when I pluck the strings of emotion with vegetation or falling water. Or think that when a person is in the world, spreading paper and writing a good book can nourish emotions.

So I chose an inkstone and some ink in the inkstone workshop. After I came back, I couldn't wait to set up an inkstone, spread paper and grind ink, and began to write. The book fragrance seeps into my heart and spleen, and a few melodious music are available in color, fragrance, taste, sound, shape and meaning, such as flowing water in the mountains, clear spring caressing Rou Shi and bright moon shining in the pine room. That artistic conception is really hard to find!
