Xu Wei graduated from university in 1963. I have been fond of calligraphy since childhood. The works were exhibited in the "Third Sichuan Provincial Calligraphy Teachers Calligraphy Exhibition" and "Provincial Temporary Calligraphy Exhibition" organized by the Sichuan Provincial Calligraphy Association. The works were also exhibited in the "Fifth Ouyang Xun Award·National Calligraphy and Painting Competition" and "Commemorating the 2285th Anniversary of Qu Yuan's Death" National Calligraphy and Painting Competition" and won gold and silver awards respectively.
