What are the artistic features of Huang Daozhou's calligraphy?
Huang Daozhou (1585 ~ 1646), with the word ","and "Ping, with the word" Xi Zun and Mi Ruo ",was named Shizhai, and his ancestral home was Zhangpu (now Fujian). I worked hard when I was young, and I was very conceited, and my reputation spread far and wide. In the second year of the Apocalypse (1622), he was awarded Jishi Shu as a scholar and made up for it. He is strong and outspoken, honest and clean, and distinguishes good from evil because of his superior position. He was demoted to a civilian worker and later exiled to Guangxi. Later, he was appointed as the history of the ritual department of Nanming axe king, and the Tang king was promoted to the university of Wuyingdian. Invited him to Jiangxi to recuperate and was arrested by Qing soldiers in Wuyuan. When he was in prison, he sang day and night and kept writing. When he died, he said, "There are some things I can't bear to see." He covered his face with a cloth and died generously in Nanjing. Huang Daozhou studied not only ancient and modern times, but also astronomy and almanac, and many people learned from him. He took the road of imperial examination, so he also made great efforts in reading. People have two views on Huang Daozhou's calligraphy. One is that his cursive brushwork is wonderful and won the marrow of two kings. The other is that his painting style is elegant and smart, almost equal to that of Zhong Wang.
