The documents of the Ministry of Education have made the following provisions on the evaluation of students' comprehensive quality: comprehensive quality evaluation includes five aspects: ideological and moral character, academic level, physical and mental health, artistic accomplishment and social practice.

The first is the academic level. The focus is on academic level test scores, elective course content and academic performance, research-based learning and innovative achievements, especially the study of superior disciplines;

The second is artistic accomplishment. The focus is on the interests in music, art, dance, drama, opera, film and television, calligraphy, etc., as well as the achievements in participating in artistic activities;

The third is ideology and morality. The focus is on the number and duration of students' participation in party activities, related community activities, public welfare work, volunteer service, etc.

The fourth is physical and mental health. The focus is on the main results of the National Student Physical Health Standard test, sports specialties, the effect of participating in sports, and the performance of coping with difficulties and setbacks.

The fifth is social practice. The focus is on the number and duration of students' participation in practical activities, the works formed, investigation reports, etc.

Art is no longer an interest course, but a compulsory course.

Research shows that artistic experience can not only make children happy, but also bring many benefits to children, whether it is mathematics, reading, cognitive ability, critical thinking or oral expression ability.

Learning art can also improve students' learning initiative, concentration, self-control, self-confidence and teamwork ability, so that children can have a deeper connection with the environment, thus broadening their horizons and gaining happiness in life.
