Han Fuju's Historical Evaluation

Hello to everyone:

Han Fuju, a native of Baxian County, Hebei Province, 1890 was born in a well-off family. /kloc-When he was 0/4 years old, his parents married Gao, the niece of a generation of celebrities. When Han grew up, he went to Feng Yuxiang. Feng saw Han Fuju's gentle appearance and good handwriting, and he loved him very much, so he called him a scholar. From then on, under Feng Yuxiang, Han Fuju rose step by step, and became Feng Yuxiang's right-hand man with Shi Yousan, Sun Liangcheng, Liu Ruming and Sun Lianzhong, and was called "Thirteen Pacific Insurance".

In history, there are different evaluations of Han Fuju, but there are many praises and criticisms, mainly as follows.

1, Liang Shuming's evaluation of Han Fuju is: "Han Fuju is brave in fighting, relatively literate, won Feng Yuxiang's reuse and trust, and rose step by step to become a general under Feng. Later, he left Feng for Chiang Kai-shek and went to Shandong for eight years. He tried to make some achievements until War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression broke out and was beheaded by Chiang Kai-shek. " "He appreciates Confucian philosophy and has read some Confucian works. It is not a complete introduction to martial arts."

2. Xu Beiwen, a famous contemporary scholar and educator, once wrote: "Han Fuju made a fortune in the Northwest Army with the ability of poetry and calligraphy. After he came to power in Shandong, he drove some magicians and monks out of the yamen, and reused new literati such as He Siyuan, Liang Shuming and Zhao Taimou. The difference between Korea and Zhang Zongchang is due to the difference between literature and field. "

During the Central Plains War, Han betrayed Feng Yuxiang and took refuge in Chiang Kai-shek. After Han Fuju was in charge of Shandong Province, he quickly reorganized the provincial government and put forward four administrative plans: cleaning up the bureaucracy, fundamentally cleaning up the countryside, combating drugs and popularizing education.

4. The July 7th Incident happened in 1937, which started in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. Han Fuju was appointed Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Fifth Theater and Commander-in-Chief of the Third Army, responsible for the defense of the northern section of Jinpu Road and Shandong Province. Before the Anti-Japanese War, Han Fuju was sandwiched between Chiang Kai-shek and the Japanese. In order to protect himself, he adopted a dual policy. 5. After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, Han Fuju changed her attitude, saying that she was "determined to win" against Japan and actively fought against Japan. His troops were organized into three armies, five divisions and another brigade. He took Sun and Li as the Yellow River defense lines north of Jinan, and Gu as the Yellow River defense lines north of Yantai and Zhoucun in Jiaodong.

6. Bureaucracy. He stipulated that all government personnel must wear the same cloth as soldiers, and the punishment for government personnel taking drugs was very heavy. Once found, they will be dismissed or shot. He is particularly disgusted with corrupt officials, and has set up a "senior detective team" to select young people who graduated from high school as members of the team, make unannounced visits to various departments, cities and counties on a regular basis, and report directly to him. Officials who found corruption and bribery were immediately arrested and dealt with according to military law.

7. During the reign of Lu, he often tried cases in the name of Chairman of Shandong Province and Commander-in-Chief of the Third Route Army. Sometimes he even went to visit incognito, and when he encountered a lawsuit, he tried it in court and decided the case on the spot.

8. Pay attention to education. He pushed his way through the crowd and appointed Mr. He Siyuan as the director of education. He never defaulted on education funds, and it increased year by year, which made the education cause in Shandong get great development. In addition to greatly increasing the number of classes in the original schools, many primary and secondary schools have been added, as well as a medical college, eight rural normal schools and four vocational schools, as well as the National Shandong University and the Shandong Drama School. The number of students in school has increased from more than 500,000 in 1929 to more than 654.38 million in 1933.

9. Drug control. Shandong used to be a place where drugs were rampant. Japanese imperialism, based in Qingdao and Jinan, sold a lot of drugs in Shandong and even went deep into the vast rural areas. After Han Fuju took power in Shandong, smoking and drug control became more and more popular. Opium addicts are locked up for compulsory detoxification, those who refuse to mend their ways are shot, and drug traffickers are shot no matter how many. Han killed many people in Shandong, most of them died of bandits' smoke.

10 and 1936 in February, the "Xi incident" broke out. Han Fuju explicitly supported Zhang Xueliang's action, and issued a "Madian" supporting Zhang He's sending troops to attack the Central Army, which was deciphered by Nanjing government agents. Therefore, Chiang Kai-shek hated Han Fuju's guts and left a curse for being trapped and killed in the future.

1 1. After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, Emperor Fu-di Han's attitude changed obviously, indicating that he was "absolutely determined" to Japan, actively resisting Japan, resolutely opposing Japan's claim of "autonomy in North China" and rejecting the temptation of Japanese official positions.

12. After the Japanese army launched an attack on Shandong, Han Fu raised his initial resistance and carried out major battles or battles such as night attack on Sangyuan Station, bloody battle in Dezhou, sticking to Linyi, encounter in Jiyang, Tuhai River Campaign, Jinan Campaign, blockade of Dajiangkou, cooperation with Taierzhuang peripheral war, and night attack on Dawenkou, which dealt a heavy blow to the Japanese army and caused heavy losses to our troops.

13. During the most brutal battle with the Japanese army, Han wrote a letter to his wife Gao, saying that "life and death are uncertain, please take good care of the children". Look up and cry. Han Fuqu's anti-Japanese war did not get the appreciation and support of Chiang Kai-shek, but mobilized the heavy artillery brigade and two divisions at a critical moment.

Of course, as a warlord, Han can't be compared with the army led by the * * * production party in essence. But he is by no means "timid as a mouse, helping the soldiers to protect themselves." There are many historical reasons for the fall of Shandong province, and he can't be blamed alone.

The above is for reference only. Best wishes.
