Shuilian Cave
Shuiliandong is a cave about 50 meters long on the cliff on the east side of the Shiaxu Mountain that looks like an axe. A 30-meter-high, 20-meter-deep arched natural cave. During the rainy season, spring water and rainwater gush out from the roof and walls of the cave, and water flows down the eaves of the cave, just like a bead curtain covering the door, hence the name Shuilian Cave. There are many buildings in the cave, such as the Four Holy Palaces, Guanyin Temple, South Hall, and Bodhisattva Hall. Nanyue Martyrs' Shrine
Nanyue Martyrs' Shrine is located 4 kilometers away from Nanyue Ancient Town in Hengyang City, Hunan. Xiangtang
Go up to Xiangtang. Xiangtang is the largest building of the Chung Martyrs' Shrine. It has a cross-shaped floor, solid and thick granite stone walls, and a white marble door with double-sided relief and three arches. On the upper part of the front, six granite stone pillars support the double eaves in vermilion Xieshan style. On the middle two pillars hang a golden rectangular horizontal plaque with the inscription: "Temple of Martyrs" and the inscription "Chiang Zhongzheng". On the back wall of the Xiangtang Hall, there are thirty-six white marble steles embedded on them, on which are engraved the poems of patriots from past dynasties inscribed by famous contemporary calligraphers.
Cemetery
On the hilltop surrounded by pine trees, there are 13 tombs of martyrs. In the largest tomb, the former 37th Army Gate of the Kuomintang is buried. Dong Yu, commander of the 10th Division, collected the remains of 2,728 soldiers who died in the Anti-Japanese War in northern Hunan. According to relevant cultural and historical records: the 60th Division of the Kuomintang fought bloody battles with the Japanese army in Songhu, eastern Zhejiang, southern Jiangsu, northern Jiangxi, southern Hubei, Hunan and other places, annihilating the 9th and 6th Guards Divisions of the Japanese invading army. During the battle, many officers and soldiers of the division died heroically in defense of the Chinese nation. There are personal tombs of General Zheng Zuomin and General Sun Mingjin, and there are 3 collective cemeteries of the 74th Army, 60th Division, and 140th Division.
