Details of the Fang Heng stone tablet

The Fang Heng Monument, the full name of which is the Monument to the King of Hengfu in the late Han and Wei Dynasties, was built in the first year of Jianning (A.D. 168) to praise the merits of Fang Heng's protege Zhu Deng and others. The monument is 2.40m high,1.1.25m wide and 0.25m thick. There are 23 lines of Beiyang official script, full of 36 words, ***8 15 words, with a word diameter of 4 cm; It is famous for its warm words and ancient fonts. According to Zhai's Li pian, the original characters on this tablet can be distinguished by 23 lines of 7 1. In October of the fourth year of Jiaqing (1799), Huang, a native of Qiantang, found that the words "my old official is my protege" were the clearest, and now they have all disappeared. There is a wear under the tablet, and the forehead is written in official script, engraved with the words "Qing Hengfu Guojun Tablet, Han Wei Wei", 2 lines 10, with a diameter of 9 cm, and the font is simple and elegant.

Fang Heng Monument was originally built in Zhongdian Village, Ciqiu Town, Wenshang County. In the eighth year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty (A.D. 1730), the Wenhe River burst and the monument sank. Villager Guo Chengxi and others rebuilt it. 1953 was moved to Binglingmen, Daimiao, Tai 'an, Shandong Province for preservation, and 1983 was moved to Daimiao stele gallery, and now the word 34 1 has been stripped. This inscription writing method is famous for its strong official script, correct and steady strokes, honest manner, vigorous brushwork, Gu Zhuo and charming, and is regarded as a model for calligraphers in past dynasties by Zhang Qianbei.
