We want to talk about their similarities:
1, both of them are leaders of peasant rebels. Zhu Yuanzhang joined the Red Scarf Army in Guo Zixing at the age of 25 and soon became the leader of the Red Scarf Army. Liu Bang established his authority by beheading the White Snake, which made people around him think that he was Chi Di, and he didn't go through an uprising in Pei County, and the army developed rapidly.
2. Both of them didn't have a good educational level at first, and then their educational level gradually improved. Before the uprising, Liu Bang was notoriously ignorant, but when he returned to China and became emperor, he even wrote a poem like Song of the Big Wind. Zhu Yuanzhang was born a beggar and can be said to be illiterate, but later he studied hard and even stopped studying. Zhu Yuanzhang's poetry level can rank among the kings of past dynasties, at least much better than Qianlong's.
Difference:
1, two people have different ideas of governing the country. Liu bang advocated inaction, advocated the theory of Huang Lao and despised the people. Zhu Yuanzhang, on the other hand, ruled the country with the concept of legalism and adopted strict criminal law. Although he downplayed the people, he even advocated ruling the country by legalism, and even asked every household to put a copy of Daming Law.
2. Zhu Yuanzhang's ability to unify the army is higher than that of Liu Bang. Liu bang can win the world, mostly by the skill of his own men. Without soldiers like Han Xin, it would be difficult for Liu Bang to win the battle between Chu and Han. Zhu Yuanzhang led the troops south entirely by himself, and his men were also full of talents.
Zhu Yuanzhang's murderous heart is much heavier than Liu Bang's. In the four major cases of Hongwu, Zhu Yuanzhang killed nearly 100,000 people, killed almost all his people who were not at ease, and implicated many irrelevant people. However, Liu Bang only killed Han Xin, Peng Yue and Ying Bu, the more threatening half-recruited kings, and did not implicate many people.
