Wang Shutian was born in a scholarly family and was the 67th generation grandson of Wang Xizhi, a book sage in Jin Dynasty. 1945 was born in Luoyang, grew up in Xi, and loved calligraphy and painting since childhood. His calligraphy works are exquisite and elegant, simple and elegant. He used to be the executive vice president of the Painters' Committee of the Central Asian Buddhist Association, the vice president of Chang 'an Xiao Painting and Calligraphy Institute in China, the calligraphy professor of Lumbini Buddhist Institute in Nepal, the visiting professor of literature of Northwest University, and the national first-class artist. He was awarded 100 as a painter who inherits classical art, an outstanding contemporary painter in China and an Lanting painter in Bai Jie, China.
He studied with Zhong Mingshan, a contemporary calligrapher, and devoted himself to copying the Five-Body Heart Sutra, Diamond Sutra, Filial Piety Sutra and Tao Te Ching, which are widely collected in temples at home and abroad. Zhou Huijun, a contemporary calligrapher, once commented on Wang Shutian's cursive style, which is bold, vigorous and magnificent, and the official script is magnificent.
