In ancient China, poetry and calligraphy were both important parts of culture, and were regarded as artistic forms to express humanistic feelings and aesthetic values. The combination of poetry and calligraphy is a wonderful art form, which can show the artist's cultural accomplishment and aesthetic taste. Therefore, I choose to create a poem and calligraphy work about honesty to express my understanding and pursuit of honesty.
First of all, I chose a poem by Wang Zhihuan, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, "In the Heron Tower": "The mountains cover the daytime, and the sea drains the golden river", which expresses the magnificent scene of nature and implies that human behavior should be like nature, conform to the laws of nature and not violate the way of justice. I wrote this poem in regular script, trying to be dignified, fluent and natural, so as to express the artistic conception and emotion expressed in the poem.
Secondly, I chose a famous saying by Mi Fei, a calligrapher in the Song Dynasty: "Books are not full of words, but words are not full of meaning", which emphasized the complementary interaction between calligraphy and language and showed the humanistic spirit and cultural value. I wrote this sentence in lines, trying to be fluent and elegant to show the artistic beauty and cultural connotation of calligraphy.
Finally, I chose a famous saying by Zheng Banqiao, a calligrapher in the Qing Dynasty: "Ambition is high, nothing is big or small", which expressed my pursuit of life and attitude towards my career, and showed my integrity and noble spirit. I wrote this sentence in cursive, trying to be vigorous and bold, so as to show the unique charm and spiritual outlook of cursive.
Through the combination of these three poems and calligraphy, I expressed my understanding and pursuit of sincerity, and also showed the artistic charm and cultural value of poetry and calligraphy. I believe that only by pursuing and working hard on the road of honesty can we realize the value and significance of life.
