As a beginner, I think her prose is good. There are two editions of Zhang Kan published by Economic Daily Press on the market, but the classic works are concentrated in the former one. Fortunately, it also includes Zhang Ailing, a woman of the Republic of China written by her ex-husband Hu Lancheng, so that you can have a good understanding.
If we really want to skip these and get to the point, I think the best thing is the golden lock, which is recognized by experts. Then, of course, love in the city, red roses and white roses, fading flowers and blockade are all fine works and my own favorites. In terms of short stories, the author bought two editions of Legend published by Economic Daily Press.
Novels are not Zhang's strong suit. Her Half-Life Destiny, also known as Eighteen Springs, Yangko and Love in the Bare Land, can't be said to be mature. The last two books seem hard to get in Chinese mainland.
A Dream of Red Mansions is too professional, so it is not recommended unless you are a die-hard fan or a die-hard fan.
