Ningyuan, the first small garden in Ningxia with antique buildings in Qing Dynasty as the main body, was completed during the National Day of 1987.
Ningyuan is located in the south of Jiefang East Street in Yinchuan City. Enter the garden from the west gate and enter the bonsai area. The main area consists of Xingqing Hall, Qinming Pavilion, Monument, Gallery and Pool. Xingqing Hall is the tallest and largest hall in the garden. The mural "The West Xia Fengyun" in the temple artistically reproduces the politics, economy, culture, military affairs and customs of the West Xia State in the history of China. The square pool in front of Xingqing Hall is filled with white marble carvings, which makes the sea noisy. On the left side of Xingqing Hall is Qin Mingting, an antique building with a rolling shed, and on the right side is a winding stele gallery with four corners connected by a double eaves pavilion and a hexagonal pavilion, named Momo. The wall of the gallery is engraved with the works of, Dong, and calligraphers inside and outside the area. To the north of the East District is a group of big rockeries with ponds, vines and flower ponds for tourists to rest.
In recent years, in order to explore the submerged cultural and artistic treasures, the people's governments of the autonomous region and Zhongning County have cleaned and repaired the Shikong Temple Grottoes, and most of them have been repaired and rebuilt.
When the Shikong Temple was built is still difficult to draw a conclusion. According to the historical records of the Ming Dynasty, it is called Yuangu Temple. There have always been three legends about the excavation age of grottoes: Tang, Xixia and Yuan. Today, judging from the shape and style of the grottoes, it is most likely carved in the Tang Dynasty.
Shikong Temple Grottoes, one of the famous landscapes in Ming and Qing Dynasties, were once called "Shikong Night Lights". At that time, there was a poem praising: there were beautiful stone piles and empty places. Who can drive in the blue clouds of Lan Ruo, and the monk sits by the burning lamp every night and looks at the distant castle peak a little red?
