Seal script is the collective name for large seal script and small seal script. The brushwork is thin, strong and straight, with many straight lines. There are square pens, round pens, and pointed pens, and there are many "hanging needles" in the handwriting. Dazhuan refers to bronze inscriptions, Zhou inscriptions and Six Kingdoms inscriptions, which preserve the obvious characteristics of ancient hieroglyphs. Small seal script, also known as "Qin seal script", is the common script of the Qin Dynasty. It is a simplified font of large seal script. It is characterized by a uniform and neat shape and a font that is easier to write than Zhenwen.
Seal script category:
One of the ancient calligraphy styles of Chinese characters. The recent scholar Guo Moruo's "The Development of Dialectics of Ancient Writing" believes: "The seal script is called the 掾, and the 掾 is the official. The official system of the Han Dynasty mostly followed the Qin system. The internal officials included the officials who were responsible for the administration, called 掾zu, and the external officials included the Cao 掾 official. They are all subordinates of official documents. Therefore, the so-called seal script is actually a seal script, which is an official letter. "Zeal script is a variant of seal script and is extremely complicated. The ancients believed that the seal script was created by Cangjie, but this is not credible. Taishi Zhou, King of Zhou Xuan, wrote "Shi Zhou Pian", which was called "Da Zhuan" by the Han people, and the "Da Zhuan" article is detailed. Afterwards, the countries were divided and ruled, and the princes were in power, and the characters were in different shapes. Until the Qin Dynasty Prime Minister Li Si unified them, the Han people called them "Xiao Zhuan" and "Xiang Xiao Zhuan". The characters in the seal script are drawn in circles, and the structure follows the meaning of the six books. Therefore, Sun Guoting of the Tang Dynasty said: "The seal script is graceful and clear."
Introduction to seal script:
Seal script is the earliest calligraphy style, and its writing style is relatively simpler than other calligraphy styles. The knotted characters in seal script are rich in decoration. Therefore, it is said that "calligraphy begins with seal script, and learners should learn seal script first. The style of seal script is serious and the layout is rigorous. Learning seal script can avoid the problems of being weak, vulgar, wild, and oblique."

Xiaozhuan, Xiaozhuan refers to a simplified and standardized writing that emerged when Qin Shihuang ordered Li Si and others to implement "writing with the same text", based on Qin Zhuan, to unify the scripts of the six countries. The small seal script is smooth and straight, the structure is elegant and peaceful, and there are rules to follow. It is the only way to understand the seal script and understand the original meaning of the text. Xiaozhuan developed into the Qing Dynasty, and the lines became thicker, and the changes in stroke thickness, speed, pause, weight, and radius were broken through. Another branch of the small seal script is the Han seal script, which is written with the official meaning of square fold, while the seal script that was printed is more square fold, also known as Miao seal script, which is a copy of the seal script.
