Famous calligraphy

Zhu Zhishan is a famous calligrapher in history. He and others are called "the four great talents in the south of the Yangtze River", while people call him "the first person who was mad at grass in Ming Dynasty". Born with six right hands, he named himself "Shan Zhi". His calligraphy is very famous, comparable to Tang Bohu's paintings. However, the talented Zhu Zhishan has repeatedly hit a wall on the road to fame.

Zhu Zhishan was able to write big characters when he was five years old. He never forgot anything about reading. He was called a child prodigy when he was nine years old. 19 years old, admitted as a scholar. He thought his career would start from now on, but in the sixteenth year of Chenghua, Zhu Zhishan failed the exam for the first time. However, because it was the first time, Zhu Zhishan didn't pay much attention. He thought he was careless, so he went back to review and prepare for the next exam, but later he failed twice in a row, which made Zhu Zhishan lack confidence and stayed in Hongzhi for two years.

I wanted to make great achievements from now on, but fate played a trick on him. In the sixth year of Hongzhi, Zhu Zhishan happily went to Beijing to attend the meeting, but failed the exam for the first time. In the next few years, Zhu Zhishan repeatedly hit a wall. During Zheng De's nine years, Zhu Zhishan, 52, decided not to take the exam. During his years of rushing for exams, all his sons were admitted to Jinshi. This made Zhu Zhishan lose face and continue to take the exam, so he chose to be an official in the court.

The reason why Zhu Zhishan failed in the imperial examination was that although his calligraphy was very good, the imperial examination paid more attention to the Four Books and Five Classics. So he has never passed the exam smoothly.
