The Use of Pen in English Hard Pen Calligraphy

Real English calligraphy needs a dip pen.

One is a soft-pointed pen with a thin tip, which is mainly freehand and flowery. As shown in figure 1 (font: copperplate). This pen tip can be replaced by a cartoon pen tip that can be bought in China. NIKKO recommended it? Soft G cartoon nib, I use this, because professional China can't get it at all, and this NIKKO? At least Taobao has a pen tip, 7 yuan for 2 pieces, which is quite cheap. ?

The other one is more difficult? Flat-pointed, generally used for writing in the Middle Ages? Gothic fonts, such as:/baike/pic/item/61183b2dc0770127349bf7d5.jpg.

I have this nib, too. I bought it on Taobao. I brought it when I bought a vintage feather dip pen. It's quite useful. The font written is super gorgeous. Generally, you can buy a set for 40-50 yuan. There are five tips in it, three of which are flat tips with different widths. I bought an 80-year-old feathered one, which looks better.

This is my experience in practicing English calligraphy. I hope it helps.
