Zhu Yuanzhang was born in a poor peasant family, and later became a monk in a temple in Huang Jue because of the disaster. At the age of 25 (1352), he joined the Red Scarf Army to resist the Mongolian regime. He defeated many governors and warlords, unified the south, and established the Ming Dynasty with the name Hongwu after the Northern Expedition destroyed the Yuan Dynasty. During the reign of Zhu Yuanzhang, social production gradually recovered and developed, which was called "the rule of Hongwu" in history.
1398 (thirty-one year of Hongwu), Zhu Yuanzhang died at the age of 7 1, with the temple name Taizu. Posthumous title was buried in the Ming Tombs.
