Not in history, but there was a Li Yuanfang in the Ming Dynasty.
Li Yuanfang (1489- 1553) is a native of Qin 'an County. Clever since childhood, he studied the ancient meaning of history with his uncles Li Lan, Li Feng, Dai Li and Li Chong, and became famous in his hometown. In the second year of Zheng De in Ming Dynasty (1507), he was promoted. In the early years of Jiajing, he was appointed as the county magistrate of Shuntianfu Wanping. At that time, the government was corrupt and Sejong became increasingly fatuous. He ignored the affairs of state and attempted to live forever, which led to the eunuch's autocratic power and rampant adultery. Wanping County, located in the two capitals, is extremely difficult to govern, and the high officials of the imperial court, consorts and eunuchs coerce and seduce them by all means. Hou Jianchang invaded people's land, and Hui Anbo hid criminals, which caused great public anger. Li Yuanfang's indomitable spirit, brave words, defying hardships and dangers, defying powerful people, and acting in accordance with the law have enabled these matters to be solved reasonably and won the praise of the people of Wanping. The Dongchang incident involved seven people, including Wan Ping and Zhang, who were all sentenced to death. Li Yuanfang proved to be a hard worker, so their mistakes can be corrected. Wanping is closest to the imperial court, and all kinds of exorbitant taxes can be found at any time. If you don't finish it on time or slow down a little, you may be killed. So more than half of Wanping people go out to avoid being killed. Li Yuanfang was outraged, regardless of his personal safety, and asked the emperor to abolish seven things that the civilians suffered greatly. According to the actual situation, he made a comprehensive statement, talked about a thousand words, hit the nail on the head, touched on the right and wrong of Emperor Sejong's quest for immortality, and demanded the abolition of all this. In five days, I will die. At that time, Emperor Sejong was disgusted with his carelessness and refused to give advice. "It's no use killing the minister with a stick", so the ministers talked about it one after another: "It never rains but it pours". However, Li Yuanfang cloth socks Tsing Yi, calmly waiting. After the imperial edict came down, everyone was allowed to play. The people of Wanping were very happy, rejoicing, clapping their hands and cheering, and gave a portrait of Li Yuanfang as a souvenir. Li Yuanfang is famous all over the country for being outspoken, so the relevant authorities in the imperial court intend to recommend to the emperor that Li Yuanfang be the admonisher. However, due to bureaucratic obstruction, Li Yuanfang became a tongzhi of Dengzhou Prefecture (now Penglai, Shandong Province) and later transferred to Lu 'an Prefecture, Shanxi Province (now Changzhi, Shanxi Province). During his tenure, his political achievements were remarkable. The Shanxi Governor and the provincial judges jointly wrote a letter asking for the promotion of Li Yuanfang as the magistrate of Lu 'an. However, because the jealous people made false accusations in the name of wooing the relationship and buttering up the boss, the official department found no evidence, which made the matter go away. Li Yuanfang was also hit by this and said indignantly, "Yes, I can still be my ambition!" So he said that he was ill and went back to his hometown, and stayed at home and died. Today, Li Yuanfang's descendants have settled at home and abroad, and many of them have sought their roots. Today, Qin An's descendants still retain Li Yuanfang's portrait and calligraphy before his death. His paintings are even more brilliant, and his calligraphy is as strong and powerful as his own words.
