Cultural relics characteristics of the story of painted characters unearthed from Sima Jinlong's tomb

Each cultural relic is about 80 cm long, 20 cm wide and 2.5 cm thick. Made of wood, five pieces were relatively complete when unearthed, covered with vermicelli and then painted, and inscribed with yellow ink. There are pictures on both sides of the screen. When buried, the downward side was seriously corroded and the original appearance was difficult to distinguish. The upward side is well preserved.

The picture shows the upward side of the first and second pieces that can still be assembled. The first and second screen painting columns are divided into four layers. On the first floor, there are six Chinese characters for Emperor Shun to abide by filial piety. On the second floor, there are three characters: Taijiang, Princess Zhou Tai, Zhou Wuwang's mother and sister, and Zhou Wenwang's mother Tairen. On the third floor, there are two figures, namely Jiang of Lu Shichun and Chunjiang's daughter. The fourth floor, with six Chinese characters, tells the story of Ban Jieyu proclaimed himself emperor. Most of the above stories come from Biography of Lienv written by Liu Xiang in the Western Han Dynasty, and Shun Di's deeds can be found in Historical Records of Five Emperors.
