After Feng Jing was born, his family became poorer and poorer. At the age of seventeen or eighteen, his business father Shi Feng died again, which made him even more embarrassed. In the process of seeking an official position, Feng Jing studied in Yuhang County, Zhejiang Province, but was forced to pay rent by the government. There was nothing he could do, so he wrote a poem on the wall of the temple where he lived:
Han Xin lived late and Xiang Yu was poor, drinking autumn wind with a sword in his hand.
Unfortunately, the world is full of eyes, and I don't know that men are not helpful.
The main idea of this poem is: Comparing Han Xin and Xiang Yu, it is said that the heroes in the world are also pitiful, but it is a pity that everyone in the world can't see that they are just fallen heroes.
One of them came to collect debts, an official named Fan Sheng. He knows everything about literature and ink. After reading this poem, he was very moved, so he reported to the county magistrate, pleaded for Feng Jing and asked for leniency. The magistrate wondered what benefits Fan Sheng got from Feng Jing, otherwise how could a stranger speak for him? Fan Sheng read the suspicion from the eyes and tone of the county magistrate and took the initiative to explain: "This Feng Xiucai's family is very poor and often has no food and clothing. What can I buy? " I just read his poems, and I hope he will not be an idle generation in the future! "Say that finish, take out the copied poem. The magistrate smiled, so he changed his attitude and adopted a tolerant policy towards Feng Jing.
Later, Feng Jianxiang went to Sheshan (also known as Huoshan, northwest of Huoshan County, Anhui Province, before Yin Qi) to study. There is a watchdog in the monk's house. Because Feng Jing was often hungry, he tried to steal and kill dogs with several poor classmates and beat up the rich food. Monks reported to the county that Feng Jing and others were arrested. The magistrate saw that he was a few scholars, unlike local ruffians and hooligans, and his attitude was not so fierce. He didn't make any other punishment, only let Feng Jing, led by him, write an article "Stealing Dog Fu" on the spot. The original intention was to humiliate them as a punishment. The county magistrate thought that they would call for mercy and wrote unhappily. Unexpectedly, Feng Jing didn't care, so he began to write, and it was written in a short time. Sheriff had to pick it up. Fu writes beautifully, and there is a pair of couplets that are particularly wonderful:
The reunion dinner attracted me, and I was glad to lose the mink's tail;
Suomian took it and looked back at the rabbit's head.
Here are a few allusions to the effect that dogs are hooked by rice balls and wag their tails happily; When he was led away by the rope, the dog kept looking back in surprise.
When the magistrate read this, he couldn't help clapping his hands. He was so impressed that he immediately released them and left Feng Jing as a distinguished guest.
In the second year, Feng Jing won the world with three yuan. In the history of imperial examinations in China 1300, only 17 candidates were able to win three yuan in a row, and one of them was Feng Jing.
