Wu Xiufeng’s personal experience

In the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Yunxiao Branch of the Provincial Medical Workers Association appointed him as the deputy minister of the academic department, and he was one of the founders of the Chengguan Traditional Chinese Medicine Joint Clinic. In 1956, the county established the United Hospital (now the Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital) and served as a Chinese medicine physician in the Department of Internal Medicine. In 1958, a health school was opened. With their extensive knowledge and superb medical skills, they were hired as health school teachers to train a group of medical backbones for urban and rural areas. In 1959, he was employed as a member of the County Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and successively served as a member of the second and third sessions of the Yunxiao County Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. In 1962, he was awarded the title of "Famous Veteran Chinese Physician" by the Fujian Provincial Department of Health. Wu Xiufeng is self-taught and has been studying medical books of various ancient and modern schools for more than fifty years. In 1963, the Provincial Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine wanted to transfer him to Fuzhou to work at the Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, but he was unable to do so due to his old age. He has written more than a hundred medical cases, medical talks and papers, which have been published in "Fujian Traditional Chinese Medicine", "Chinese Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine" and "Fujian Traditional Chinese Medicine Medical Records". He is not only proficient in medicine, but also has extensive research in calligraphy. His works have participated in many exhibitions and won awards.
