How is Yang Zaichun's calligraphy?

In 1980s and 1990s, Yang Zaichun's calligraphy level was extremely high.

Yang Zaichun Simo was born in Tangshan, Hebei. 1976 founded the "Beijing Calligraphy Research Association" with Liu Bingsen, Fan Ceng, Su Shizhu, etc., and later founded the China Calligraphers Association on this basis in 1980. Yang Zaichun is also one of the founders of China Calligraphers Association.

In 1980s and 1990s, there was a "calligraphy craze" in China. Learning calligraphy seems to be a fashion, especially hard-pen calligraphy. It has become a fashion to open a small mouth in the upper left corner pocket of Zhongshan suit and pin a pen on it. It is against this background that Yang Zaichun became popular.

When Yang Zaichun was on fire, he gave a series of lectures on China's calligraphy on CCTV for three years. With lectures, there is a set of systematic calligraphy teaching materials, which influenced countless calligraphy lovers in China in that era when there were few channels to obtain information.

At the same time, Yang Zaichun has held many calligraphy exhibitions and even exhibited abroad, such as Japan, South Korea and Singapore, and has published dozens of calligraphy textbooks, including theoretical and practical textbooks. It can be said that Yang Zaichun enjoyed a good reputation in calligraphy in 1980s and 1990s.

However, by the end of 1990s, Yang Zaichun began to fade out of public view and was no longer mentioned by people. A new group of young and middle-aged calligraphers also began to rise.
