What does soft pen paper look like?
Soft pen paper generally refers to paper written with a brush. When it comes to paper for writing brush characters, most people first think of Xuan paper. In the traditional sense, Xuan paper must be paper containing sandalwood bark, which is expensive, not suitable for beginners to learn and practice calligraphy, and is very wasteful. As for the so-called Xuan paper sold in the name of Xuan paper in the market, it costs more than ten yuan a knife, and 90% of it is cheap paper popular in recent decades. It is made of Chinese alpine rush, and its quality is far less than that of real rice paper. The raw materials do not contain sandalwood bark at all, and most of them are shatian straw or even Chinese alpine rush, and they are mechanical. The price is currently one or two hundred yuan a knife. Of course, this does not prevent it from being used as writing paper. At present, it can be used as cheaper writing paper-tassel paper, meta-book paper and painting paper.
