What was calligraphy like in the early Ming Dynasty?

Calligraphy in the early Ming Dynasty followed the retro trend of thought of the previous generation and was almost completely enveloped by the calligraphy style of Yuan people. Calligraphers from Yuan Dynasty to Ming Dynasty, such as Su Wei, Liu Ji, Song Lian, Changyu and Xu Ben, all entered the Ming Dynasty. Some even became senior officials, but calligraphy still maintained the style of Yuan people.
