First, superb martial arts
Among the more than 0/000 founding generals of our army/KLOC-0, many have martial arts, but such superb martial arts as Xu are rare. Xu was born in a poor family when he was a child. Once, by chance, he met a Shaolin monk. He traveled around and became a teacher. With the consent of his family, Xu went to Shaolin Temple to do odd jobs. Under the careful instruction of the master, he practiced Shaolin Kung Fu for eight years and could do anything. After taking part in the revolution, Xu soon became a captain who dared to die with real kung fu. Every time you fight, you charge ahead, and when you are killed, you wield a knife and fight with the enemy. Countless enemy troops died under his broadsword. If General Xu was born in ancient times, he was definitely a hero who won the rank of general in a million-strong army. Xu later grew up to be a senior general, and his commanding style was also famous for his bravery, but his strategy was slightly insufficient. In addition, he has dark skin, bad temper and bad sex, so some people compare him to "fierce Zhang Fei" and "living Li Kui jy"
Second, you can drink like a sea.
Xu is well-known in the whole army, and drinking has become his lifelong hobby, so he can be said to be a heavy drinker. He once had a famous saying: cold wine hurts the lungs, hot wine hurts the liver, and no wine hurts. During the Red Army period, as a senior general of the Fourth Army, every time he marched, there were special porters to deliver wine for him. Other generals are not convinced. Why can only drink while others can't? Chen Changhao, political commissar, said, "Anyone who can drink as much as Xu can." All the generals were silent. Although Xu loves drinking, he never drinks like Zhang Fei. He once promised Chairman Mao "three don't drink": don't drink before the war, don't drink when the battle starts, and don't drink when the battle fails. If he wins, he will have a good drink. After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), Xu became the commander of the Nanjing Military Region. Drinking with subordinates after work is a common occurrence, and everyone has suffered a lot. Every time he drinks, he will persuade him to drink for various reasons. No one can drink as much as he does, and they are so drunk that everyone will be scared when they eat and drink with Xu in the future. Premier Zhou was very angry after hearing this and wanted to find an opportunity to educate Xu. Once, Xu went to Beijing for a meeting, and the Prime Minister specially invited him to dinner. During the dinner, the two had a drinking contest. Three bottles of Moutai went into Xu's stomach, which was unbearable. The whole person slipped under the table, but Premier Zhou was not slightly drunk. Xu was completely convinced and never dared to pour other people's wine on the wine table again.
Third, bow to Chairman Mao.
1in March, 937, our party criticized Zhang's crime of splitting the central government in Yan 'an, which influenced some senior generals of the Fourth Army in the process of implementation. Xu was very wronged and thought he was retaliating against the Fourth Army. So, he secretly joined some people and prepared to flee to Sichuan to fight guerrilla warfare, only to be caught. In view of the bad nature of Xu's escape, the border court decided to shoot him. Chairman Mao felt that the situation was grim. At the critical moment, he exercised his veto power and saved Xu. He visited him twice in the detention center and said to him earnestly, "Comrade You Shi, you fought a lot of battles and suffered a lot. i take my hat off to you. The cadres of the Red Fourth Front Army are Party cadres, not Zhang cadres. Zhang's split brought great losses to the Red Army. The mistakes he made should be borne by himself, not by you. " After some enlightenment, Xu finally realized his mistake. He deeply blamed himself for his reckless behavior and sincerely admired Chairman Mao's generosity and approachability. The honest, frank and generous man had tears in his eyes and plopped down in front of Chairman Mao. Since then, Xu Zhongshi followed Chairman Mao and led his troops to the north and south, making outstanding contributions to the revolution, and was awarded the rank of general on 1955. In his later years, he often told others that his achievements were attributed to Chairman Mao's teaching. Without Chairman Mao, there would be no him today.
Fourth, ask for burial.
1956, the central government initiated the initiative of cremation after the death of senior cadres, and Chairman Mao took the lead in signing it. But when the plan was sent to Xu, he refused to sign it. Xu found Chairman Mao and said that he had participated in the revolution when he was young and had never been filial to his mother. He hopes to be buried with his parents after his death to make up for his shortcomings. Chairman Mao thought that many people might change their minds in the future when they reached middle age, so he didn't make a statement immediately. But the general's mind never changed. By 1985, the general became increasingly ill and felt that time was running out, so he wrote to the Central Committee and asked for burial again. This stumped the leader, and no one dared to make a decision. Finally, the comrades made a final decision and agreed to exempt General Xu from his post in view of his particularity, but made it clear that "it won't happen again". In this way, after his death, the general was buried in his hometown in Xinxian County, Henan Province, beside his parents, realizing his long-cherished wish of "loyalty before his death and filial piety after his death".
Throughout General Xu's life, it is legendary. He was heroic and invincible on the battlefield, made meritorious military service repeatedly, became famous in Dabie Mountain, moved to southeast Hebei, and held up half the sky in Jiaodong. He is generous and free, raising pigs, farming, fishing and hunting, completely ignoring the image of the general and truly "living in the present"; He is loyal to his country and works tirelessly. He also fought on the battlefield, promoting China's prestige. His filial piety spread far and wide, and he could not serve his mother in front of the church before his death, so he sent his eldest son back to his hometown to do it for him and was buried next to his mother forever after his death.
