Ge Jieping (19 12- 1999) was born in Hefei, Anhui Province, whose real name was Defan, whose real name was Jieping, and whose real name was Weng Jie in his later years. Contemporary famous painter, seal engraver, poet, cultural relic and calligraphy appraiser. In his early years, he studied under Zhang, Liu Qilin and Zhang, and he was deeply impressed by various inscriptions since Oracle Bone Inscriptions in Yin Ruins, Zhong Ding in Western Zhou Dynasty, Qin and Han Dynasties. Later, he entered the Anhui Provincial Museum to engage in cultural relics appraisal, and had a deep understanding of the calligraphy of Liang Wenshan, Deng and Bao.
