Pastoral is a word full of memories, which makes people homesick and reminds people of Tao Yuanming who planted beans at the foot of Nanshan. He wrote in "Returning to the Pastoral Residence"; "Nanshan plants beans, and the grass is covered with bean sprouts. Get up early in the morning to get rid of weeds, and come back with hoes in the moonlight at night. The narrow path covered with vegetation, the night dew wet my clothes. The clothes are not covered, but the wish is not violated. " He got rid of the hypocritical and dirty officialdom and practiced the ideal of returning to nature by farming and studying the countryside. He praised the self-reliant life and the simplicity and tranquility of the countryside. Under the admiration of Tao Yuanming, pastoral has become synonymous with being far away from the secular peach blossom garden. Later generations hope to find the soul in rural life, and this hope has become the yearning for rural poetry.
This hope has also been integrated into pastoral Chinese calligraphy by calligraphers, drawing nourishment from the countryside and nature, giving new life to fonts, and infiltrating pastoral mountains, fields, country roads and land into fonts in an imaginative way, just like understanding star fonts from far and near stars and understanding splash-ink landscape fonts and traditional Chinese landscape fonts from ups and downs.
