What are the good tips for practicing writing with a pen?

See what you classify.

According to the thickness of the pen tip, it can be divided into EF F M B, etc., and arranged in the order from fine to thick. The F-tip is about 0.5MM thick, and the standards of each factory are different. It can only be said that it is approximate. M-tip is about 0.7, and EF is generally 0.3~0.4.

According to the material of the nib, it can be divided into steel tip and gold tip. Generally speaking, the gold tip of the same pen is softer than the steel tip.

According to the exposed part of the pen tip, it can be divided into package tip (dark tip), semi-package tip and bright tip. From the point of view of writing, there is no difference between the three, just the difference in appearance.

If you practice writing, you can consider a steel-tipped pen with an F tip or an M tip. Gold nib is more expensive, and the pen itself is a consumable. The same is true for practicing calligraphy. Of course, if the budget is enough, you can buy something more expensive, and a gold tip is not bad.

Reasons for recommending F-tip or M-tip: When writing with a pen, the thickness is close to or slightly thicker than usual. When practicing calligraphy and tracing red, you should cover all the scarlet letters to achieve the best effect. The thicker the pen tip, the easier it is to draw strokes. It is difficult to make strokes when practicing calligraphy with too thin a pen, which is not conducive to imitating copybook writing. Therefore, it is not recommended to use a very thin financial pen (generally the thickness of EF nib) or a pen that is too thick. If the pen tip is too thick, it is easy to cover the scarlet letter too much.

Reasons for recommending steel tip: pens with steel tip are generally cheaper (compared with the same gold tip), and the nib is hard and easy to control. The gold nib is elastic (soft) and the lines change greatly when writing, but beginners are not easy to control, and it is easy to slip or the strokes are not in place.
