Piaomiao Peak, the main peak of Xishan Mountain, is located in the west of Xishan Island, with an altitude of 337 meters. It is the first of the seventy-two peaks in Taihu Lake. Taihu Lake is subject to ever-changing weather conditions, and the peaks are often hidden in the clouds and mist, making them look misty and misty, like fairy mountains separated by a sea of ??clouds or connected by jade belts like Xialing Mountains. The landscape of "Misty Clear Mountains" is one of the eight scenic spots in the West Mountains. In the Taihu Lake area, there was an old custom of climbing Piaomiao Peak during the Double Ninth Festival, and literati of the past dynasties also left many beautiful poems. Fan Chengda, a great poet in the Song Dynasty, left a famous saying: "A lonely tree is loaded with leisure, and the long wind blows it into the fairy capital. Don't worry about the lack of peace in your arms, and look at Taihu Lake from the misty peaks." There are many traditional routes to climb Piaomiao Peak. There are uphill trails from Shuiyuewu, Hancunwu, Qiliwu, Baoshanwu, Dongcai and other places. Piaomiao Peak Scenic Area can connect the surrounding Shuiyuewu and Tangli Ancient Village, Qiliwu, Baoshan Temple, Dongcai Ancient Village, Tianwangwu and other scenic spots. Mountain streams meander throughout the entire scenic area, and mountain springs flow continuously all year round. It has a good forest ecological landscape and is the core scenic area of ??Taihu Xishan National Forest Park. The scenic spot has built a 10-kilometer-long tourist road around the mountain and a 5-kilometer-long mountaineering walking trail. Shuiyue Temple in the scenic area was built in the Liang Dynasty of the Southern Dynasty. The newly built (restored) auspicious (good fortune, longevity and happiness) wishing pool, the Mozuo Juntan, the birthplace of Biluochun, the old statue of Lu Yu, the tea saint of the Tang Dynasty, the Xishan calligraphy stele gallery of celebrities in the past, the famous spring Wuzhi Spring in the Song Dynasty, the Gong Tea Garden, and the Biluochun tea culture The Exhibition Hall, Farming Culture Exhibition Hall, Bird Garden, Ornamental Fish Gallery, the Eight Formations of the Ming Dynasty (Baijiao Pavilion) from Liang Yusheng’s martial arts novels, the Qintai (Baidun Pavilion) where the Ming Dynasty’s romantic talents gathered, etc., are all tourist attractions.
