Qi Baishi (1864- 1957) is a master of Chinese painting in the 20th century, one of the top ten calligraphers in the 20th century, a master of calligraphy seal cutting and a world cultural celebrity. He used to be a professor of Beijing National Academy of Art, honorary professor of Central Academy of Fine Arts, honorary president of Beijing Painting Academy and chairman of China Artists Association. 1953 was awarded the highest title of "People's Artist of China". His simple and modest spirit and self-confidence and self-improvement made his works valuable.
