Introduction to Wang Liuao

Wang Liuao (1928.1-2005.12.29) was a native of Guanshang Village, Goannan Township, Wutai County, Shanxi Province. Born in a scholarly family, his great-grandfather was a native of Qing Dynasty. He inherited the influence of his family at an early age and began to learn calligraphy in his childhood. Deputy manager of the Taiyuan Consulting Company of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, librarian of the Shanxi Provincial Museum of Literature and History, director of the Shanxi Provincial Calligraphers Association, vice chairman of the Taiyuan Calligraphers Association, executive director of the Chinese Hard Pen Calligraphers Association, Shanxi Hard Pen Calligrapher Executive Vice Chairman of the Association, professor of the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Correspondence University, vice president of the Taiyuan Branch of the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Correspondence University, member of the Taiyuan City Federation of Literary and Art Circles, member of the Taiyuan Nancheng District CPPCC, Wutai County CPPCC member, and senior advisor to the Aging Committee of Shanxi Branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.
