Seal: Chong Ding and Chang Guan

1. Ding Jing was a seal engraver in Qing Dynasty. Good monument, accurate appraisal and rich collection. Gong is good at calligraphy, taking the advantages of Qin and Han dynasties for seal cutting, and learning from the strengths of He Zhen, Zhu Jian and others. Carved with knife method, it is square, vigorous and simple, and it is the first of the "Eight Schools of Xiling" in Zhejiang.
This couplet is an old collection of painter Yang Shanshen. Calligraphy style is based on the essence of Han and Wei stone inscriptions, and it is carved with a pen. Rich in the spirit of stone, it is more generous and elegant than Ding Jing's usual beautiful calligraphy style.
