Wan Qiren
Wan Qiren was born in Wuhan, Hubei in 1940. Born in a family of intellectuals, he entered painting at the High School Affiliated to the Academy of Fine Arts in the 1950s. He graduated from Hubei Academy of Fine Arts with an undergraduate degree in oil painting in the 1960s. He taught at the Chengdu 5.7 Art School in the 1970s and became a full-time painter at the Academy of Fine Arts in the 1980s. He has been engaged in oil painting creation and research for more than 40 years. He has published 18 monographs and review articles in art professional publications such as "Art Grand View", "Art Guide", "Sichuan Art Newsletter", "Chengdu Art", "Art in China" and "Chengdu Art". He is the author of the book "Drawing; Color; Creation". His oil paintings have participated in many art auctions, and most of his works have been exported to the United States, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia and Singapore.
