Zhao's Social Review

Zhao: Ji Hua's calligraphy is very childish.

Text/Liu

The first time I went to Meng Dage's office, two calligraphy works hanging on the wall particularly caught my attention. One is "as you plant melons, you get vegetables", and the other is "height, size and distance are the starting points of looking at problems" Small in scale and small in square feet. The book style is implicit. If it is not extremely powerful, it will not be exhausted. If it is not exciting, the style will be far away. It is love at first sight, because it is both thick and simple in Weibei and horizontal and vertical at the beginning of Yu Youren. Cashier Zhao is familiar with it. When asked, it turned out to be Meng's teacher, a former professor at Teachers College of Shanxi University, vice chairman of Shanxi Calligraphers Association, and a member of Shanxi Classical Literature Research Association. He was deeply moved and shouted, "Lucky, lucky!" .

In fact, Meng, as a calligrapher, generally does not run around the world, but experts know that Meng not only writes well in small letters, but also runs well in calligraphy, which is related to the influence of Teacher Zhao.

Meng said that Mr. Zhao was born in 1935, and has published books such as College Calligraphy Course, Enlightenment of Chinese Character Learning, Calligraphy Dating Theory, Art Linking, Towards Chinese Painting (in cooperation with colleagues) and Zhao Calligraphy Collection. He is a respectable scholar calligrapher.

-What a scholar calligrapher!

-Learning calligraphy means not only learning the knowledge of calligraphy, but also thinking deeply about sociology, life science, anthropology, philosophy and aesthetics. -I'm afraid this is the best footnote for Teacher Zhao's "scholar calligrapher".

The following are several articles of Teacher Zhao's "Artistic Thinking":

1, a small piece of paper draws a big picture-today's painting and calligraphy invitation exhibition shows that it must be said that the work should be more than six feet. Is the work just a large-scale book? I think it's better to think small and see big. A work of art, no matter how big or small, is a good work, because it should have a realm, personality, content, thought, meaning and thought, which can improve people's concept.

2, balloons, the higher the more dangerous-originally a child's toy, I didn't expect the child to grow up, but it became a way to seek fame and make money.

3, look down at the feet-people never discuss with their feet before starting to walk, just start walking, go straight ahead, and wait until they hit something before stopping to look at their feet; Tired, just look at your feet; My feet are blistered, numb, and still bleeding ... Only then did I remember how big my feet, that is, my skills and abilities, were when I worked hard. -It is very important to measure your "feet" correctly.

4, the chair-the accomplice of the table. Whether it is a dining table, a desk or a chair, it is an accomplice to the dining table. Especially in modern society, chairs make people eat for a long time and consume a lot of energy. Sometimes they giggle on the table and cry under it. If it's study, chairs make people lie prone on the table from morning till night, forget the society and practice in the society. In the end, you become a fool who only believes in books and doesn't believe in reality, and even a cripple. Some people push mahjong tiles and play poker with chairs as a way of consuming life. Some get quick results and even die under the chair. And ..... think about it, and you can think of many more. If the chair hadn't been invented, at least things would be much better.

5, stand up and act, cross down and think.

……

To tell the truth, some problems may have been thought about by predecessors. But I'm interested in Mr. Zhao's way of thinking. His way of thinking is so ingenious that the loom is unique-"fan"-in fact, it should be available in winter and summer. Mr. Qi Baishi has a picture of him sitting by the fire, wearing a big cotton-padded jacket and fanning a banana fan in his hand. I added a footnote: whether you are sad or happy, you should be calm and be careful of high blood pressure. Later, I saw Brother Meng write a more direct and wonderful title on a fan-"Fans can cure hypertension", which made people laugh. The last article showed that "as you plant melons, you get vegetables" is so meaningful that people can't help licking it over and over again.

Reading the wise words in Teacher Zhao's Artistic Thinking and admiring his leisurely Mo Yun book, the word "machine in hand" pops up in my mind from time to time.

"The machine is in hand", said "Postscript of Painting in Southern Sky": "When painting, you must have understanding, and then the machine is in hand, making a mess. You are not arrested by your master, but wandering outside the law. " Zheng Banqiao also said that "those who are interested in breaking the law will turn the machine into a machine", which is the same as "turning the machine into a hand" and "swimming outside the statutes" in Yunnan. When painting, painters are required not only to "have answers", but also to correspond with their hearts and hands and completely forget themselves.

-writing a book is no longer the case?

Machine, heart also. Those who have made great achievements by casting all kinds of knowledge and traced them back to machines are called masters.

I saw Mr. Zhao's work today. Isn't it like this?
