The day before yesterday, I saw the news of this calligraphy exhibition on the official WeChat account of Zhang Hai Calligraphy Art Museum, so I decided to go and have a look and learn today. Mr. Zhang Hai is a famous calligrapher in China and the former chairman of China Calligraphers Association. His ancestral home is Yanshi, Luoyang, Henan. In order to commend and promote Mr. Zhang Hai's outstanding achievements and contributions in calligraphy, yanshi city built Mr. Zhang Hai's Calligraphy Art Museum near his high school alma mater, which was originally located in Yanshi High School. Later, for the convenience of calligraphers and calligraphy lovers, I was separated from Yanshi High School. I remember when I first went to Zhang Hai Calligraphy Art Museum in 2008, I went in and out from Yanshi High School. During Mr. Zhang Hai's tenure, Luoyang, Yanshi, Xin 'an and Luoning, Jin Meng were successively awarded the title of "Hometown of Calligraphy in China" by China Calligraphy Association.
Henan is a big calligraphy province in China, and Luoyang is also a strong calligraphy city in Henan. At present, Luoyang has more than 100 members of China Calligraphy Association and more than 1 000 members of Henan Calligraphy Association. Luoyang is not only a famous ancient capital in China, but also a famous calligraphy resource city in China. As a representative of Weibei calligraphy, the Longmen 20-product statue in Longmen Grottoes is recorded in the epitaph of Yuanshi County in the Northern Wei Dynasty unearthed in Luoyang, which occupies an important position in the history of China calligraphy. Mr. Kang Youwei, a famous epigraphist in the late Qing Dynasty, highly praised the Twenty Pieces of Longmen and the Epitaph of Yuanshi County in the Northern Wei Dynasty unearthed in Luoyang, which played an important role in the calligraphy history of Weibei and China. Luoyang also has the former residences of the great calligraphers Qiantang Zhizhai and Wang Duo in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. Qiantang Zhizhai is also a holy place for calligraphy that can coexist with Anbeilin.
? Regular script is an important calligraphy style in China, and it is an immature regular script style in the transition from official script to regular script, including regular script in Northern Wei, Eastern Wei, Western Wei, Northern Qi and Northern Zhou Dynasties. It occupies an important position in the history of regular script, and has become an important calligraphy style with the later mature Tang Kai. There are four forms of statues, epitaphs, inscriptions and cliffs in Wei Bei, while 20 pieces of Longmen in Luoyang and the tombs of yuanshi county County in the Northern Wei Dynasty have been unearthed. Luoyang is known as "the holy land of Weibei". In order to promote Chinese excellent calligraphy culture in Weibei, the Weibei Holy Land National Weibei Calligraphy Competition was initiated by Henan Calligraphers Association, Luoyang Calligraphers Association and Zhanghai Calligraphy Art Museum. It has been held for five times so far. Since the second session, the competition has been divided into adult group, college student group and middle school student group. This year, the Weibei Holy Land National Weibei Calligraphy Competition added official script and copying items. Renamed Weibei Holy Land National Weibei Lishu Pro-creation Competition. In order to promote the development of calligraphy in China and cultivate new calligraphers, in recent years, Mr. Zhang Hai personally funded a special calligraphy class for the central and western regions in Zhang Hai Calligraphy Art Museum, and invited calligraphers and experts from China Calligraphy Association to start classes, thus cultivating a large number of new calligraphers for the central and western regions.
Weibei Holy Land National Weibei Lishu Pro-creation Competition has been held for five times, and I have never seen it once. I also saw the news of this calligraphy exhibition on the official WeChat account of Zhanghai Calligraphy Art Museum the day before yesterday, so I decided to go and see it today, watch and learn calligraphy, and watch more calligraphy exhibitions, which is also an important way to learn calligraphy. As a big calligraphy city, Luoyang has not held many national calligraphy exhibitions, so it is not easy to see the national calligraphy exhibitions in Luoyang. So, this morning,
? 240 works of Weibei, Weibei, Weibei and Weibei were exhibited in the fifth exhibition of Weibei Holy Land National Lishu Pro-creation Competition.
? The works of the 5th Weibei Holy Land National Lishu Pro-creation Competition were exhibited in the sixth and seventh exhibition halls of Zhanghai Calligraphy Art Museum. Most of the calligraphy works on display are vertical nave with banners and couplets, but there are no fans, hand scrolls and banners. There are only five albums. What impressed me the most was that, regardless of Wei Bei or Lishu, the small print with a grid of about two or three centimeters accounted for the vast majority, and the number of large-character works was small, only a dozen. This phenomenon is also manifested in the national calligraphy exhibition. There is only one reason why there are few calligraphy works with big characters. Of course, this calligraphy exhibition is the same as the national calligraphy exhibition. There are many small print works and many colored papers, only one is white paper. Of course, the form of calligraphy is also an important part of calligraphy works, and there are also some books with heavier forms in this exhibition.
The shortcoming of the fifth Weibei Holy Land National Competition for Pro-creation of official script in Weibei is that Weibei and official script are similar in methods, with little difference in style. Wei Bei adopted many epitaphs of Li Bi, and many official scripts learned to use ritual tablets. This also confirms that I participated in the calligraphy review activity of Luoyang employees held in Tianzhong Hotel last year. When talking about the study and creation of today's official script, Mr. Geng pointed out that the ritual tablet is also the most important Chinese calligraphy tablet in official script.
? Due to time constraints, there are a large number of exhibits, many of which are small and large works, and there are many words, so you can't look at them carefully. You can only look at the overall momentum and composition, and you can only look at some words carefully, then take pictures with your mobile phone and enjoy it at home.
? Watching calligraphy exhibitions is also an important way to learn calligraphy, which is helpful to improve one's aesthetic cultivation and ability to appreciate calligraphy art. There are also ways to watch calligraphy exhibitions, that is, first look at the overall composition and charm of calligraphy works participating in the exhibitions, and then from the whole to the part, look at the pen and structure of each word, the echo between strokes and how to deal with it in avoidance relationship, as well as the ink method, composition and text content. It even includes writing materials and tools such as pens, ink, paper and inkstone. It is speculated how the author took some kind of inscription and how it melted. In fact, watching calligraphy exhibition is also a process of thinking, understanding and learning from others.
