How much are Huang's paintings and calligraphy worth?

Mr. Huang is a famous calligrapher in Wuyi hometown of overseas Chinese in Jiangmen. His calligraphy art is well-known at home and abroad. He won many honors for Jiangmen, the hometown of overseas Chinese, and trained many calligraphy talents for Jiangmen.

It is reported that the prices of some famous paintings and calligraphy works in the collection market have fallen sharply recently. The price of the same artist's lots dropped from 200,000-300,000 yuan per square foot in 2005 to 554.38 million yuan+now.

The calligraphy and painting market has been adjusted.

According to Li Zhanhua, vice chairman of Guangdong Collectors Association, since the second half of 2005, the painting and calligraphy market has been gradually adjusted, and the prices of paintings and calligraphy works by some famous artists, such as Huang Zhou, Lu, Cheng Shifa and so on, have dropped, mainly represented by Shanghai School and Beijing School.

Take Huang Zhou's works as an example. In 2004, the market price of art auction was about 30,000-50,000 yuan per square foot. In 2005, it rose to10-150 thousand yuan per square foot, and even reached 200 thousand to 300 thousand yuan per square foot at the highest. Now some have dropped to 50,000-10/0,000 yuan per square meter. Coincidentally, the price of Guan Liang's works was 65,438+100,000-65,438+100,000 square feet in 2004, and rose to 50,000-60,000 yuan in 2005, a five-fold increase in one year. At present, the price of some works is about 20,000-40,000 yuan per square foot, but the price of their fine works is still rising.

Has the price of speculators peaked?

Mou Xiang of Guangzhou Art Auction believes that it is relatively rational for the general works of famous painters and calligraphers to grow at a rate of no more than 30% every year. In the early stage, the prices of some famous paintings and calligraphy works were artificially high, and now it is reasonable for the prices to fall back.

Cheng, vice chairman and painter of Guangdong Collectors Association, said that in the early days of the stock market and the property market, when the investment situation was not very good and there were not many investment channels, some speculators who did not know how to collect put their money into the painting and calligraphy market and desperately sought after some famous paintings and calligraphy with rising prices. Excessive speculation leads to excessive price increases.

Li Zhanhua said that among several major painting schools in China, such as Beijing School, Shanghai School, Jinling School, Chang 'an School and Lingnan School, Shanghai School and Beijing School have high shooting rate and exposure rate, and they have long been the main targets sought after by the market. Especially from the spring of 2003 to 2005, some speculators in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces intervened in the market to speculate on Shanghai-style works with similar geographical locations, which made the prices of some famous paintings and calligraphy works soar once.

According to Kuang Genming, manager of Guangzhou Jiyazhai, some speculators saw that such works had increased too much in the early stage and would not take them away immediately after winning the bid. Instead, we use the time difference of delivery money to resell the lot to earn the difference, trying to achieve the effect of "frying one million yuan into three million yuan". Sometimes there are even some strange phenomena of pricing first and then bidding. But at present, the price of such works has almost peaked, and there is little room for further increase. Some speculators had to withdraw their funds, and the market price gradually declined.

Lingnan painting school works look good.

Some insiders said that the price drop of famous paintings and calligraphy works is not a large-scale phenomenon. At present, the prices of different painting schools and painters are different.

Kuang Genming said that at present, the market is in a period of adjustment, but there is not much room for the market to continue to fall, and the price of real master works has been rising steadily.

In addition, compared with the northern painting school, the loss rate of painting and calligraphy decreased from 90% to 70%-80%, and the loss rate of Lingnan painting school increased from 50%-60% around 2003 and 2004 to 70%-80% at present.

Mou Xiang said that the price of Lingnan paintings is still rising. For example, Fang Chuxiong's works cost 3,000 yuan a square foot in 2003 and 0/.5,000-20,000 yuan a square foot in 2005; A work by Zhao Shaoang, one of the four major schools of painting in Lingnan, sold for a sky-high price of 6.05 million yuan in the summer of last August, setting a price record for a single work of Lingnan School of Painting.
