Introduce the guide words of Wild Goose Pagoda 1 Dear tourists and friends:
Hello everyone! When you come to Xi, you can't miss the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. This ancient pagoda in Tang Dynasty is a unique symbol of the ancient city Xi 'an. The ancients once left a poem that "the night lights show when driving away mountains, and the morning bell of the Wild Goose Pagoda is in the south of the city". As one of the eight scenic spots in Guanzhong, the Wild Goose Pagoda stands tall in Ji 'an, the southern suburb of Xi 'an, and is one of the famous pagodas in China. Next, please follow me into the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and start sightseeing!
When you see this ancient Tang pagoda, you will be amazed. Does anyone know why this pagoda is named after the wild goose? There is also a touching story! Legend has it that a long time ago, there was a monk in Mojeto who believed in Hinayana Buddhism and ate three clean meals (that is, geese, deer and calves). One day, a flock of geese were flying in the air. A monk saw the goose and casually said, "Nobody has anything to eat today. Bodhisattva should know that we are hungry! " As he spoke, a wild goose landed in front of the monk and died. He told all the monks in the temple with surprise that the Tathagata was educating them. So in the place where the geese fell, they were buried with a grand ceremony to build a tower, and they gave up the meat and became Mahayana Buddhism. Therefore, the stupa is also called the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.
When we arrive at the Wild Goose Pagoda, people will naturally think of Xuanzang, a famous monk in the Tang Dynasty, who was the first abbot of Jionji. You must have seen Journey to the West, right? So the Tang Priest in The Journey to the West is the famous Tang Priest Xuanzang? Master Xuanzang, common name Chen, became a monk in Luoyang at the age of 13. He is diligent and studious. After visiting teachers from all over China, he decided to explore the essence of Buddhism in India, the birthplace of Buddhism. Then along the Silk Road, across the vast Gobi desert, there are no birds and animals on the road, all the way to Tianzhu, and return to Chang 'an after finishing school. It took 17 years, traveled 50,000 kilometers, passed through 100 countries and regions, and retrieved 657 Buddhist scriptures, which gained a high status in India and was highly respected. After returning to China, with the support of the royal family, he initiated a new period in China's translation history. * * * Translated 75 Buddhist scriptures, with a volume of 1335, and wrote The Tale of the Western Regions of Datang, which attracted the attention of scholars from all over the world. It should be said that The Journey to the West was written on the background of Xuanzang's learning from the scriptures in the Tang Dynasty, but the Tang Priest in the story does not refer to Xuanzang completely, but is a character in an artistic literary work.
Dear visitors, when the Big Wild Goose Pagoda was completed, it was 60 meters high and ***5 stories high. It is a pavilion-style square brick tower with imitation wood structure. As you can see, the stupa is a masterpiece of Buddhist architecture in China. It is of simple shape, magnificent momentum, and has remarkable national characteristics and style of the times. Tourists, since the completion of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, celebrities of all ages have left beautiful sentences that have been passed down through the ages. The poet Du Fu once praised that "the flag is flying over the sky, and the wind is not over", and the frontier poet Cen Can once wrote that "the pagoda rises from the ground and reaches the Heavenly Palace". When climbing the mountain, we seem to have left the world behind, pedaling in vain. The poet's magnificent description and philosophical exclamation often cause people to sing when they climb the tower. On June 22nd, 20xx, at the 38th meeting of UNESCO World Heritage Committee held in Doha, Qatar, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda was successfully listed in the World Heritage List as a site in the Silk Road: Chang 'an-Tianshan Corridor Road Network jointly applied by China, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
Although Xi 'an is a small city, it contains profound cultural connotations. I sincerely wish you a happy trip to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda today. Our trip arrived today. Thank you!

Hello, I'm Liao, the tour guide. Today, I will take you to visit the famous Big Wild Goose Pagoda.
The Wild Goose Pagoda was built in Daji Temple, formerly known as Wuliu Temple. It was built in the Sui Dynasty. In the Tang Dynasty, Prince Li Zhi rebuilt the May 6th Temple and renamed it Grand Jionji to commemorate the great kindness of the late Grandson Queen. Its north side is opposite to the Hanyuan Hall of Daming Palace. It covers an area of 26,570 square meters and is surrounded by beautiful scenery. It is the most magnificent Buddhist temple in Chang 'an, Tang Dou. Walking into the mountain gate, I saw three doors, namely, no phase gate, reactive gate and empty gate. The ancients called the three gates the gates of liberation. The huge stone lion in front of the temple is strange and unique. Lions can protect and ward off evil spirits. Buddhism believes that "Buddha is a lion among people". So there is a guardian lion in front of the Buddha's desk. Walking into the temple are two small buildings, with the bell tower in the east, and an iron clock with a weight of 15 tons cast in Jiajing period is hung inside. There is a big drum on the west side of the drum tower. Monks in the temple ring bells in the morning and drums at night. The idiom morning bell and evening drum also comes from this. Go on, and you will come to the Hall of the Great Hero in the center of the temple. There are three statues of Sakyamuni in the Hall of Ursa Major, and behind the Hall of Ursa Major is the Buddhist Scripture Building. Walking out of the Tibetan Scripture Building, I saw the Wild Goose Pagoda, which was brought back by Xuanzang to place the scriptures, Buddha statues and Buddhist relics in the western regions. The emperor was asked to allow the construction of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.
This tower was designed and supervised by Master Xuanzang himself. This tower is about 65 meters high. * * * has seven floors, and people often say that saving a life is better than building a seven-level pagoda. The tower looks very tall and spectacular. The plane inside the tower is square, with floors on each floor and escalators spiraling up.
Walking through the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, you will see the Big Wild Goose Pagoda Square, which is known as "the first garden in the world in the prosperous Tang Dynasty". It consists of North Square, South Square, Yanta Dongyuan, Yanta Xiyuan, Yanta Nanyuan and Pedestrian Street. It is the highest leisure square in Tang Wenhua, China.
The Big Wild Goose Pagoda in Xi is really a good place. Welcome to come again next time.
Introduction to Wild Goose Pagoda 4 Dear tourists:
Hello everyone! Welcome to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which is located in the southern suburb of Jean Temple. It is a famous ancient building in China and is considered as a symbol of the ancient capital Xi.
According to legend, the Tang Priest specialized in translation and scripture collection after his return from India (ancient Tianzhu). Because it imitates the Indian Wild Goose Pagoda, it is named Wild Goose Pagoda. Later, a smaller Wild Goose Pagoda was built in Jianfu Temple in Chang 'an. In order to distinguish it, people call Jionji Pagoda Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and Jianfu Temple Pagoda Small Wild Goose Pagoda, which has been passed down to this day. The plane of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda is square and built on a platform about 45 meters square and 5 meters high. This tower has seven floors, the bottom is 25 meters long and the height from the ground to the top is 64 meters. The tower is made of bricks, and the ground brick joints are firm and abnormal. There are stairs in the tower, which can spiral up. There is an arched ticket gate on all sides of each floor, which can be overlooked through the railing. Changan has a panoramic view. The bottom of the tower is surrounded by stone gates, and there are exquisite line-carved Buddha statues on the tower mast, which were handed down strictly by the great painters of the Tang Dynasty. In the brick niches on both sides of the south gate of the tower, there are two stone tablets, the Preface to Tang Sanzang and the Preface to Tang Sanzang written by Chu Suiliang, one of the four great calligraphers in the early Tang Dynasty. After the end of the Tang Dynasty, temples were repeatedly set on fire and burned, and only the Big Wild Goose Pagoda was isolated.
Another said: The Big Wild Goose Pagoda was built in Yonghui, Tang Gaozong, which lasted for three years. Because it is located in Jionji, it is also called Ci 'en Temple Tower. Jionji was built by Prince Li Zhi in the 22nd year of Zhenguan in Tang Dynasty (648) to commemorate his mother, Empress Wende. When the Big Wild Goose Pagoda was first built, it had only five floors. Wu Zetian rebuilt it and later repaired it many times. Now the tower has seven floors, ***64 meters, in the shape of a square pyramid. The tower body is made of blue bricks, and the walls of each floor are made of wood-like structures such as columns and columns. There are coupon arches on all sides of each floor. This pavilion-style brick tower is a masterpiece of Buddhist architectural art in China, with simple shape and magnificent momentum. On both sides of the south gate of the ground floor of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, there are two stone tablets written by Chu Suiliang, a famous calligrapher in the Tang Dynasty. One is Preface to the Three Monks of Datang; The other is Tang Gaozong's Preface to Tang Sanzang, with a creeping weed pattern on the side of the monument, which is beautiful and vivid. These are important cultural relics for studying calligraphy, painting and sculpture in the Tang Dynasty. Daxiong Hall is the most famous and magnificent Buddhist temple in Chang 'an in Tang Dynasty, which was built by imperial edict in Tang Dynasty.
Tang Sanzang, Xuanzang, once presided over the temple affairs here, led the Buddhist translation field and founded the Buddhist Sect. He personally supervised the construction of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in the temple. Therefore, Dali Temple has a very prominent position in the history of Buddhism in China, and it has always been concerned at home and abroad.
Inside the temple gate, the bell and drum towers confronted each other. The bell and drum are the orders of the temple, and there is a popular saying called "Morning bell and dusk drum". The East Bell Tower hangs an iron bell of the Ming Dynasty, weighing 30,000 Jin and more than three meters high. Students in the Tang Dynasty went to Ci 'en Pagoda to inscribe their names after the Jinshi examination, which was called "Wild Goose Pagoda Inscription", and then they followed the habit. Painters Wu Daozi and Wang Wei in the Tang Dynasty made many murals for Jionji, but they have long been forgotten. However, on the stone lintels and doorframes of the lower four-door cave of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, exquisite descriptions of lines in the Tang Dynasty are preserved. The line-carved palace figure on Xi Shi's lintel is particularly precious.
On the southeast side of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, there is a group of monks' tombs. Six of them were built in the Qing Dynasty. Daxiong Hall is the central building of the temple. There are clay sculptures of three buddhas, bodhisattvas and arhats in the hall. It's a place to worship Buddha and recite scriptures. The Dharma Hall is a place for preaching. There is a bronze statue of Amitabha in the hall.
Today's Cisi Temple is the scale since the Ming Dynasty, and the temple is a building in the late Qing Dynasty. Now the Big Wild Goose Pagoda has been restored, the ancient pagoda is magnificent, the temple is filled with incense and the courtyard is full of flowers. This is a tourist attraction that particularly attracts domestic and foreign tourists. I believe everyone also likes the scenery here.
