The original love of geese: it is a household name among the people. According to the biography of Wang Xizhi in the Book of Jin, there was a lonely old lady in Huiji who kept a good goose. Wang Xizhi finally "accidentally" met this group of white geese, and was very surprised. He wanted to buy the white geese. The Taoist said, "As long as you write an article about Huang Tingjing for me, I will give all these geese to each other." Wang Xizhi happily finished writing, and returned home in a cage with great joy.

Appendix:

This calligraphy is known as the second official book of the Right Army in the world, and later generations even called Huang Tingjing "Change Goose Post" because of this allusion. Li Bai quoted this allusion in "Seeing the guests off to Yue" that "Taoist priests in Shanyin should write" Huang Ting for White Goose "if they meet.

Wang Xizhi loves raising geese, which is of course a scholar's elegance and edifying sentiment. More importantly, he realized the mystery of calligraphy and the truth of calligraphy from the posture, walking and swimming of geese. He thinks that the index finger should be slightly bent like a goose's head when holding a pen, and the water should be paddled like a goose's foot when carrying a pen, so that the spirit can be absorbed in the pen.

On another occasion, when he went to a student's house, he saw that his low wooden table was clean and smooth, so he wrote on it, half in regular script and half in cursive. Later, the student's father accidentally scratched off these words, and his students regretted it for several days. His calligraphy was valued by the world at that time, and there were many such things. Wang Xizhi often claims: "My calligraphy is comparable to that of Zhong Yao;" Compared with Zhang Zhi's cursive script, it is also like a wild goose ranking. " He once wrote a letter saying: "In the Eastern Han Dynasty, Zhang Zhi learned to write in Linchi, and the water in the pool turned black. If people all over the world are addicted to calligraphy like him, it is not necessarily worse than him."
