I'm not a calligrapher, because there are often two kinds of calligraphers: one is that thousands of people flock to Taobao with a wave of your hand; There is also a "temple height". I don't know if I care about its people, but I know they won't design your signature. In fact, there is a third kind of person in calligraphy, but very few, and I am the legendary dragon without end. . . . . . Don't laugh.
Tell me something about calligraphy that you may not know.
I wonder what calligraphy is like in your eyes? Some people say that calligraphy is the core of China culture and the first of art. However, some people say that calligraphy is more of a technique, just superficial, a growing illusory bubble and a beautiful lie. There are too many different opinions and arguments.
I used to have many different ideas, and they are constantly changing. Maybe you will say, you are changeable! Yes, I am changeable. I think changeability is an essence of calligraphy art.
I am now more of an objective attitude towards calligraphy, and I like it rather than being crazy. But in fact, I don't like the meaning of the word "objective". Objectivity is often not naive or free and easy, but it is not objective in retrospect and cannot be close to the essence of things. So, this is a contradiction. This is the point-contradiction is the nature of calligraphy, and a pool of stagnant water is not a life like calligraphy.
I like natural calligraphy. Atmosphere is a kind of personality, and personality is the essence of art. You may not like atmosphere, but you are unlikely to dislike personality.
As for nature, there is no need to explain, and no one will object. Nature is the essence of art.
Also, I am Su Like Dongpo's famous saying about calligraphy theory: "Books cannot be completed, but it is tiring to push and pull." This sentence is casual, and casual can express the true nature. It is a task of art to express the spirit, but don't get me wrong. Casuality is not casual, but conforms to the mood and nature. Casuality also requires profound artistic skills, and it is difficult to grasp it if you can't be too far away from the rules or too close to them.
Well, here you may be suspicious, changeable, contradictory, individual, atmospheric, natural and casual. Is it calligraphy? Is calligraphy like this? So, is graffiti art? Hehe, then you are wrong. If nothing else, this alone cannot cross the threshold of calligraphy-nature. Scribbling is natural, because you will find that everything in nature is beautiful, and scribbling can also be beautiful, then you are Xu Wei (a great calligrapher, painter and literati in Ming Dynasty), which is a realm that no great talent can reach. However, if you are not an official or in a high position in the contemporary era, it is almost impossible for you to become a celebrity when you are alive, because Xu Wei once said, "A learned person is not vulgar, and a vulgar person is not a learned person." Oh, what's more, most people who hold the right to speak are vulgar (I'm not alone).
There are so many schools and arguments of calligraphy that it is difficult for people who don't know calligraphy to understand them, so that people who cheat the world and steal fame emerge one after another. It doesn't matter that we can't distinguish the palace art, but it's really sad if even the third-rate vulgar things are considered good! Speaking of this, the topic is big, from the education system to social fashion. I just want to say three things to you simply: first, it's not all your fault that you don't understand; Second, learning calligraphy is bound to yield a lot. Third, if a person says he is a calligrapher, then he is often not at first, and the calligrapher himself will not say so. Secondly, look at his brush script or let him take out his brush script (pen doesn't count, you can't see his skill). Ordinary people like running script and can't tell the difference between high and low. Regular script is not enough? If a person can't even write in Chinese calligraphy, he can't even talk about a ninth-rate calligrapher. He hasn't entered the calligraphy door yet!
About signature design
Signature, everyone who comes here is here to sign, whether you just look at it or design it, I welcome you very much!
I don't understand the concept of the word signature in the dictionary, but I have my own understanding of signature:
First, no matter what others say about signature, no matter how many mysterious sayings and concepts there are, I think signature can never be separated from the soil of traditional calligraphy. Signature is something that has existed since ancient times. Of course, modern people have a modern life and society has changed. However, Chinese characters have always been handed down by the ancients. It would be outrageous to pursue the alternative blindly. Then the alternative may be the alternative, but it feels like a wanderer who has left his hometown and forgotten his way home. Very painful!
Second, even if a person's name is just a code name, it also represents you, and you are unique among the millions of people in Qian Qian in this world. Everyone is extremely distinguished and has unique value. So, should your signature be unique? In my opinion, another factor of signature is personality.
Three, in addition to the above two points, I really can't think of anything that can go beyond the above two points, because I am not a "calligrapher", and the calligrapher can give you a thousand points. I hope that's not a thousand reasons to be sad. But the above two points are not simple, but cover a very wide range. The following is my brief explanation of the above two points:
Tradition: Ancient calligraphy in China has been circulated for more than two thousand years, producing a large number of calligraphers (authenticity) and a large number of calligraphy theory and appreciation methods. However, many of them have disappeared in the imaginable wheel of history, and some of them can be passed down. Even though they look strange, the mainstream shadows can be found from them, which are not far from the above-mentioned laws. The history of calligraphy develops along a line. The front of the line is very simple, and there are more and more branches behind it, just as there are always more branches in the lower reaches of natural rivers than in the upper reaches. Anyway, there must be a mainstream in the river! But today, the original mainstream has become a tributary. Why? I think the most important thing is the appearance of the pen, which changed the life of the brush! (of course, it is a fairy. The reason why calligraphy can become an art is mainly because of its special writing tools and the cooperation of different concentrations of rice paper and ink, which can form the ever-changing beauty of lines. It is impossible for a pen to form such a strong aesthetic feeling! Once a foreign scholar was shocked when he saw China's calligraphy, saying: Your ancestors used strange writing tools to create such exquisite art for you, while our ancestors used only blunt instruments to write, and their writing was poor. Nowadays, many people just write a few words fluently with pens, pretending to be "famous artists" everywhere, writing "flower labels, business labels, fashion labels, imitation English labels, digital labels, pen labels" and so on, all of which are ugly. He just thinks you don't know calligraphy and signatures, but he knows a little better than you, or are those still Chinese characters? Is the square character taught by the teacher sung in the song? Do you have the charm of Chinese characters? Would you like to use him to represent you?
This is a departure from tradition, but isn't this the problem of tradition? The answer is no. When someone mentions tradition, they think it is pedantic, outdated and rustic. In fact, tradition can also be very fashionable. Do you think Jay Chou's blue and white porcelain lyrics are rustic? What about a direct answer? Are the heroines in nirvana in fire and The Prosecutor pedantic when reciting the model? The movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and so on. . . . . . Tradition and fashion are not contradictory, but they are well integrated.
This comes to the second point I mentioned above-personality, first of all, the personality of the times. Calligraphy theory has such a few words: Jin people respect rhyme, Tang people respect law and Song people respect meaning, and each different era has different ethos and aesthetic orientation. If you sign with official script or even seal script now, others will really think you are pedantic. What is the personality of this era now? I think I can only tell you that this problem is too complicated, and there is no unified standard and understanding in academic circles. Personally, I think the first major feature of modern times is diversification, the second is impetuousness, and the third is publicity. . . What do you need? This brings us to the second kind of personality-personal personality. People highly value individuality and don't want to go with the flow, but how many people can escape a custom (deliberately pursuing individuality often leads to vulgarity) and get their true individuality? I can't answer this question, I can only understand it without words. Use your life to experience it slowly and carefully!
final result
Having said that, you may not know me yet, but you can feel it from my words. Of course, I didn't learn to write articles. Please forgive me if I can't write words. I just want to tell you a little knowledge of calligraphy and signature in the most popular and simple language, with few terms and as few as possible.
Finally, I wish you find your own personality!
