Brief introduction of Pan Zhulan

Pan Zhulan (1909-200 1) is a native of Fuzhou, Fujian. 1928 graduated from Fujian Institute of Economic Sociology, majoring in Chinese. 1929- 1937 took teaching as his career. 1956 taught Chinese, calligraphy, art theory and other courses at Fuzhou Institute of Arts and Crafts. Since the late 1970s, he has served as vice president of Fuzhou Calligraphy and Seal Cutting Research Association, vice president of Fuzhou Painting Academy, vice president and consultant of Fujian Calligraphers Association, and consultant of Fuzhou Calligraphers Association. Mr. Pan Zhulan is a famous contemporary calligrapher and seal engraver. Called "the dominant old calligrapher" by China Calligraphers Association, he represents the highest level of calligraphy in China today and deserves to be called China Calligrapher. In 200 1 year, he won the National Academic Award of Calligraphy jointly sponsored by China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and China Calligraphy Association-"The First China Lanting Calligraphy Lifetime Achievement Award".
