Inscribed on Wang Shuming's "Picture of Gaoshi Living in Rocks"
Wang Youjun, a scholar in Linchi, and Shaowen of Taoism in Chenghuai Temple.
The writing power of a prince can carry a cauldron. There has been no such king in five hundred years.
Wang Shuming refers to Wang Meng (a painter of the Yuan Dynasty). Huang Gongwang, Wang Meng, Ni Zan, and Wu Zhen are collectively known as the Four Yuan Dynasty painters, the top painters of the Yuan Dynasty.
This poem on painting uses the techniques of contrast and analogy to describe Wang Xizhi (no need to say more about this) and Zong Shaowen (Zong Bing, courtesy name Shaowen), a painter of the Song Dynasty in the Southern Dynasty, who enjoyed his joyful wanderings throughout his life. (landscapes, pictures of the scenery seen on the wall) as a comparison, implying that Wang Meng's painting and calligraphy attainments can be compared with theirs. Ni Zan grasped the characteristics of Wang Meng's paintings with strong brushwork (can carry a cauldron) and gave it a very high evaluation.
