What are the representatives of calligraphy in Qin and Han Dynasties? What are its characteristics?

As far as calligraphy is concerned, Qin and Han dynasties are very different. In Qin dynasty, seal script (or small seal script) was the main font, which was characterized by vertical rectangle, even strokes, rounded strokes at both ends and natural connection. The strokes look like "jade chopsticks", so Qin Zhuan is also called "jade chopsticks". Qin Zhuan is mainly embodied in stone carving, and his representative works include: Fanqishan stone carving, Zhifu stone carving, Zhifu Dongguan stone carving, Xiazhe stone carving, Huiji stone carving, Taishan stone carving, Langyatai stone carving and so on.

The font of Han Dynasty is official script, which is characterized by flat and square shape, obvious strokes (commonly known as silkworm head and dovetail), independent characters, simple structure and neat layout. Han Li is mainly embodied in wooden slips and stone carvings, of which stone carvings are the best, and there are many representative works, mainly including Cao Quanbei, Zhang Qianbei, Yiying Monument, Li Monument, Shimen Ode, Confucius Monument, Huashan Monument, Xiacheng Monument and Longshan Stone Carvings.
