Brief introduction of Zhang Shouzhong

Zhang Shouzhong, a researcher at Hebei Institute of Cultural Relics, taught himself China ancient characters and was good at the study of the Warring States Period. China ancient reference book compilation expert, member of China Archaeological Society, member of China Calligraphers Association, director of Hebei Archaeological Society and member of Hebei Cultural Relics Appraisal Committee.

1936 (Yihai in the Republic of China) was born in Beijing, and his ancestral home was in Feng Run, Hebei Province.195/Kloc-0 joined the army at the age of 5. He developed a fine style of being aggressive and striving for strength in the army. He was transferred to the Shanxi Provincial Cultural Relics Management Committee at the age of 1955, and began his life-long archaeological career. During his weak years, he studied in the Institute of Archaeology of China Academy of Sciences for three times. Because he paid attention to the combination of theory and practice in his work, he quickly changed from a layman to an expert and became the backbone of professional work. 1956, Shanxi Provincial Cultural Management Committee set up a cultural relic workstation in Houma, and Zhang Shouzhong was sent to Houma. He is one of the organizers of the workstation and has worked in the front line of archaeological work in Houma for more than 10 years. He has participated in the investigation of the site of the Eastern Zhou Ancient City in Houma, the excavation of the bronze casting site in Houma, the Ma Shang cemetery, the Qiaocun cemetery and the Houma oath site. In 1960s, I asked Deng Sanmu, a famous calligrapher, and Shang Chengzuo, an ancient philologist. During more than 20 years of archaeological work in Shanxi, his main scientific research achievement was his participation in the compilation of the Book of Houmameng. Hou Shu, published by Cultural Relics Publishing House on 1976, is one of the rare and important archaeological reports in China in 1970s.
