The Central Academy of Fine Arts is the only art college directly under the people of China and the Ministry of Education.
The Central Academy of Fine Arts, formerly known as the National Peking Art College, can be traced back to the National Beijing Academy of Fine Arts founded by educator Mr. Cai Yuanpei in 19 18. 1949165438+10 In October, the National Beiping Art Institute merged with three fine arts departments of North China University. The Third Department of Fine Arts of North China University was formerly the Fine Arts Department of Lu Xun Art College in Yan 'an, which was established in 1938.
The teaching and research area of the college covers an area of 495 mu, with a total construction area of 247,000 square meters. At present, there are 572 on-the-job faculty members, more than 4,700 undergraduate and graduate students, and more than 0/00 international students from more than ten countries.
