Su Shi, a native of Meishan, Meizhou (now Meishan, Sichuan), was born in Luancheng, Hebei, a famous writer, calligrapher and painter in the Northern Song Dynasty. Because of "Wutai Poetry Case", he was demoted to assistant minister of Huangzhou Yong ying.
