Painting method of plum blossom

Common plum blossoms are divided into five petals, round, with a flower heart and a stamen. The main colors are red, white and green. Similar to plum blossom are apricot blossom, peach blossom and pear blossom. Plum blossoms are often painted by sketching and boneless methods.

Contour method: refers to the flower contour method based on lines, also known as circle flower method. Hook the petals with light ink, center them with a pen, stroke order is from left to right, from middle to both sides, and the lines are like iron wire, which should be elastic, similar to calligraphy pens. Stamens can be inked with heavy ink or ochre. The flower heart can be dyed light yellow or orange, and the receptacle is hooked with heavy ink.

Boneless method: refers to the technique of drawing without ink lines and dyeing directly with color or ink. The process of boneless stippling is relatively simple, and it is usually completed at one time. Using boneless method to express flowers has more freedom in technique than "sketching". We can grasp the four points of water, color, ink and pen, and the most important thing is to use water. The ancients said that "pen and ink are easy to get, but water is hard to get" and "cherish ink as gold and water as silver", all of which explained the importance of water in painting. The natural combination of water, color and ink can make the painted colors moist and penetrating, and the painted flowers more charming and moving.

Step 1: Draw the trunk first, and use a pen in the middle and front of the side.

Step 2: Leave some flying white on the trunk.

Step 3: Draw twigs from top to bottom.

Step 4: Tick the branches along the strokes.

Step 5: Hook twigs and cross them into a female shape.

Step 6: Then draw plum branches and interweave them to form a connection.

Step 7: Point the moss spots on the trunk, which can be large or small, thick or light.

Step 8: Use eosin or rouge to bud on the twigs.

Step 9: Dot flowers with eosin or rouge and draw different postures of plum blossoms.

Step 10: Layout the flowers.

Step 11: use thick ink to hook the core (rouge can also be added to the ink), take the pen as the center, and the lines should be straight and vigorous.

Step 12: Point the receptacle with thick ink and rouge.

Full picture: Complete the picture and fill it with flowers or moss spots. Dry pen can also be painted with light ink.
