Yi Bingshou, the 19th year of Qing Qianlong-20th year of Jiaqing (1754- 18 15), was named Mo Qing, later called Moan. Tingzhou people in Fujian, also known as "Tingzhou people". His father, Yi Chaodong, was a scholar in thirty-four years. He is an official in charge of punishments, a suggestion and an official of Guanglu Temple. According to the history books, Yi Bingshou "is a master of Zhu's Neo-Confucianism, a kindergarten teacher trained by the court, a master of Yin and Yang schools and Fang schools, and stresses the application of what he has learned." Later, he was appreciated by Zhu Gui, a great scholar, and valued by Ji Xiaolan. He worshipped Ji as a teacher and Liu Yong, the most famous calligrapher at that time, studied calligraphy for the teacher. Yi Bingshou was a scholar in the fifty-fourth year of Qianlong, served as the minister of punishments, and was later promoted to foreign minister. Jiaqing served as Huizhou magistrate for four years. Jiaqing was demoted to a military station because of a dispute with Qing Ji, the governor directly under him and the governor of Guangdong and Guangxi, and was promoted to Yangzhou magistrate by Si Nuo. During his tenure, he was known as "clean and good governance".
