I began to learn the painting of ladies, followed by the painting of flowers and birds. Start with meticulous brushwork, then change to small freehand brushwork, and tend to be big freehand brushwork in later years. Meticulous painting uses both sketching and boneless techniques. He pays attention to learning from nature. In order to draw peony well, he visited Heze seven times and sketched thousands of pictures, integrating the flowers of spring, the leaves of summer and the branches of autumn, so as to achieve both form and spirit. The painter Guan Yousheng called Wang Xiaogu's paintings of grass insects "unfortunate silence". Wang Xiaogu created a large number of Chinese paintings in his life, and his "Hundred Butterflies", "Roses" and "Peony" are in the Shandong Hall of the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. He has published New Year pictures such as "Rooster Loquat Map" and "Four Seasons Flower Screen". I once applied to participate in the drawing of Heze Peony Painting Spectrum. 1982 In the summer, Shandong Branch of China Artists Association and Shandong Art Museum held a solo exhibition for him in Jinan. His works such as Chicken on the Shelf, Mushroom and Ink Peony have been exhibited in Japan, West Germany and Hong Kong. Wang Xiaogu's Painting Collection published by Shandong Fine Arts Publishing House contains his representative works. The manuscript includes thirteen lectures on flower-and-bird techniques and unfinished inscriptions of Chinese paintings in past dynasties. Wang Xiaogu also has high attainments in poetry, calligraphy and printing management. In recent years (2 1 century), some of his poems have been included in Five Hundred Poems of Wang Xiaogu. He has been engaged in art education for a long time. From 65438 to 0952, he transferred to Linyi Normal School in Shandong Province, and later taught in Linyi Art School, Linyi School for the Deaf and Linyi Institute of Education. He has served as an art teacher in Linyi Normal University and an associate professor in Linyi Education College and Shandong Art College. He used to be the vice chairman of Linyi Arts and Crafts Association and the vice chairman of Linyi CPPCC. Before his death, he was the executive director of Shandong Branch of China Artists Association and a member of China Artists Association.
